Thetford 5K Santa Run

Get into the festive spirit with this fun family friendly 5k Santa run through Thetford’s historical town centre and along the tranquil riverside. Whether you are looking for a scenic stroll, a leisurely jog, or a run, all are welcome to join this fun and welcoming 5k event. With no cut off time, you can go at your own pace with no pressure. Free tea, coffee, squash and mince pies will be available at the finish, and each participant will receive a medal.

On this run, you will start and finish at the Guildhall in Thetford’s historic Market Place. Along the way, you will pass key landmarks including the gold statue of Thomas Paine, and the Town Bridge, as well as the scenic riverside of the Little Ouse chalk river.

This event is hosted by Run Breckland for The Brecks Fen Edge Rivers and Landscape Partnership (BFER) with thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Children: This event is family friendly and suitable for all ages. All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied throughout the events. Use of single buggies is allowed.

Terrain: Mostly paved surfaces.

Cost*: Adult £8 (16+), Under 16: £5

*Please note that an additional booking fee of £0.45 + 6% per ticket will apply.

Join as a Volunteer: Would you like to be part of a friendly and fun team of volunteers to help at this event? Run Breckland are a community running charity who rely on the support of fantastic groups of volunteers. Volunteers assist Run Breckland with tasks such as helping to set up events, marshalling routes, cheering on participants, time keeping runners, handing out medals and prizes, and assisting with refreshments.
