ONLY THE BRAVE OBSTACLE COURSE
ABOUT
The Brief: A Challenging Obstacle Course
Only The Brave is inspired by EAAA pilots, doctors, paramedics, patients and their families. They amaze us when they overcome physical and emotional obstacles every day. They tell us it’s ‘not the obstacles you face, but the way you deal with them’ that counts. Participants will need the same mentality to complete the course.
Up to 35 obstacles
Lots of mud
Full of fun
The Location
The event will be staged on the grounds of the beautiful Euston Estate, a natural adventure playground in the heart of the countryside near Thetford. For one day only in September, the Estate will be transformed into a giant playground for all the wonderful EAAA supporters! With 35 amazing obstacles and a 6 or 10 mile route, runners can expect a fantastic challenge, and muddy clothes! Some of the obstacles are themed around EAAA’s work include the ‘Rotor Scramble’, the 24/7 clock climb, the Commando Wall of Thanks, the First Aid Bag carry and the Helibob’s Tower Climb. Sound intriguing? Well you’ll just have to come along to see what it’s all about!
The Events
Brave: 1.8 Mile (3km) Mini Mud Course.
Our ‘mini’ obstacle course run is perfect for families with children aged 5+. The 1.8 mile route includes eight obstacles, from giant hurdles and dodging water guns, to crawling under cargo nets. You and your family will have loads of fun whilst navigating the course.
Braver: 6 Mile (10km) Mud Race.
Great for groups, our 6 mile obstacle course race includes 26 obstacles from monkey bars to test your endurance and grip strength, to giant slip and slide style descents. Although challenging, all of our obstacles are achievable, and if you're uncomfortable with any of them, it's perfectly fine for you to just run past.
Bravest: 10 Mile (16km) Mud Challenge
For fans of longer runs and more obstacles, our 10 mile route offers even more, with 35 obstacles set in the beautiful countryside of the Norfolk/Suffolk border. While you'll share a starting line with the 6 milers, the 10 mile route will push you further and harder, testing your muscular endurance and resistance.
