ABOUT

COURSE:

The route for the course starts with a lap of the sports field before it takes out into the village of

Stanton and through the beautiful Bluebell Woods. Some sections of the course is trail and road so please be aware of uneven ground, potholes etc. Please be extra vigilant along all sections of the course and take heed of the signs and marshals. Please be aware and respectful that there may be cyclists, dogs & walkers, especially on the trail areas.


MARSHALS:

There will be marshals placed around the course. They are there for your safety and to ensure the run is a success. Please listen to any instructions they may give.


WATER STATION:

A water station is provided just after the 5km mark and at the finish line.


MEDICAL

St Johns Ambulance will be providing First Aid cover for the duration of the race.


REGISTRATION:

Your race numbers and chips can be collected from the registration desks in the Village Hallfrom 4.30pm on race day. Printed lists of your name and bib number will be displayed outside the Village Hall. On arrival, please check your number and look for the corresponding registration desk to collect your chip and bib. Please write any medical conditions and emergency contact details on the reverse of numbers and attach number to your vest/t-shirt.

BAG DROP:

There will be a bag drop zone in the Village Hall. It will be manned, but you do leave all belongings at your own risk. Please label bags clearly with your race number and your name. We will check the label number with your running number when collecting.


WARM UP:

Please warm up on the playing field away from the car park and start/finish line.


START:

The race will start on the playing field at 6.30pm


FINISH:

The race finish is at the playing field. Once you have crossed the finish line please keep moving through the area to avoid congestion. There will be medals for all and for 1st Male and Female.


SAFETY:

Whilst all sensible precautions have been made by the race organisers including full risk assessments, it is the responsibility of all runners to ensure their safety on the course.


HEADPHONES:

Parts of the route are along private roads where cars will still have access. We therefore advise you that headphones are worn entirely at your own risk, and it remains your responsibility to ensure that you can hear marshal instructions, you remain aware of other runners, and you make way for emergency vehicles if necessary.


PARKING:

Free parking spaces at Stanton Community Village Hall, IP31 2BX. This is clearly signed once you reach the village from the A143 (1ST entrance Bury St Edmunds direction), We ask that you do not park ‘within’ the village and be mindful of resident’s driveways and do not block their access. Parking is limited so if you can car share, please do.
